8 Goals for 2018

Monday, January 1, 2018

And just as fast as it started, 2017 has come to an end. This year unfortunately will not be going down as one of my favorites (there were simply more downs than there were ups, to say the least) but I was still blessed with lots of amazing memories and friendships that I will cherish forever. Since 2017 wasn't all that great, I am extremely determined to make 2018 the best year of my life yet. 2018 is the year of the "future" for me - the first few months are going to be a wild ride of finalizing graduate school applications and performing interviews, but I am excited to see what life after graduation has in store.

For my goals I started with basic ideas, things I knew I could achieve or was already on the path to accomplishing. Then I spiced them up to make sure I would continue to work hard at them as time goes on. Here are my 8 goals for 2018...

1. Earn my bachelor's degree with at least an A (90%) average overall.
2. Get accepted to my top choice graduate school.
3. Obtain an assistantship in one of my areas of interest for graduate school.
4. Establish consistent morning and night routines.
5. Completely revive this blog and make it more than it was before.
6. Successfully complete a half-marathon.
7. Raise at least $500 for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals through my school's Dance Marathon.
8. Research stress management techniques to establish a system for checking in with myself that can be easily utilized to help me feel at ease and less anxious during times of extreme stress.
